Legislative Committees

Rep. Lindstedt serves on the following legislative committees, ensuring that the voices of District 33 are heard and that smart, effective policies are put in place.

House Business & Labor Committee

The House Committee on Business Affairs & Labor considers matters concerning the regulation of professions and occupations, property and casualty insurance, unemployment insurance, health insurance, workers' compensation insurance, economic development, banks and financial institutions, real estate, labor, and technology.

The committee has legislative oversight responsibility for the Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE), the Department of Personnel and Administration (DPA), the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), and the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT)

House Finance Committee

The House Finance Committee generally considers matters related to a broad range of public finance proposals including legislation that affects the state's revenue and tax structure.  

The committee has legislative oversight responsibility for the Public Employees' Retirement Association, Department of Revenue, State Treasury, and the Office of State Planning and Budgeting.

Legislative Audit Committee

The Legislative Audit Committee (LAC) is a permanent standing committee comprised of four senators and four representatives with equal representation from the two major political parties. 

The Committee is responsible for reviewing and releasing audit reports and recommending special studies. The LAC also recommends an appointment for State Auditor to the leadership of the General Assembly every five years.
